This video covers the application of SimEvents for architecture design exploration based on performance characteristics. The system architecture may represent a variety of systems including a communication system, or a network or an SoC (System on a chip).

Ethernet Simulation and Bus Modeling   4:40  

This demo illustrates the application of SimEvents for bus modeling. We simulate an Ethernet LAN with three computers and a shared channel operated at 10 Mbps. The goal of the simulation is to determine if additional devices can be supported by this bus.

Asynchronous FIFO Design and Buffer Modeling   4:40  

This demo models the functional behavior of an asynchronous first in, first out (FIFO) buffer used for data transfer between two processors. A built in library block in SimEvents, the FIFO Queue block enables simulation of such buffers. The goal of this simulation is to understand the requirements on the size of this buffer before implementing it in hardware.
