Instrument Control Toolbox
MATLAB supports I2C communication through Instrument Control Toolbox. I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) is a chip-to-chip interface that supports two-wire communication. Instrument Control Toolbox I2C support lets you open connections with individual chips and read and write data over the connections.
When performing design verification on a device, you can configure chip settings using I2C and measure outputs of the board or device with test and measurement equipment directly from MATLAB. I2C support is available on Windows (32 and 64-bit), and MAC (64-bit) platforms using an Aardvark host adaptor from Total Phase.
Instrument Control Toolbox supports the I2C interface hardware shown below.
|Manufacturer||Model||Minimum Driver Requirement||Minimum Toolbox Version|
|Total Phase||Aardvark TP240141||Version 5.12||R2012a (version 3.1)|
