Hello,

I want to use the HDL Coder and HDL Verifier to program two different FPGAs; a Xilinx Spartan 6 and an Altera Arria II Gx. I see that there is a prototyping board for the Spartan 6, but what boards are available for the Arria II Gx? Do I need two different prototyping boards?

Thank you, Natalie

Hi Natalie,

Yes, you need a separate Altera FPGA board to prototype Altera Arria II Gx FPGA.

Altera FPGA boards are supported starting in R2012a release. HDL Coder and HDL Verifier support the following Altera development boards. You can use the first one in the list to prototype Arria FPGA.

Altera Arria II GX FPGA development kit
Altera Cyclone III FPGA development kit
Altera Cyclone IV GX FPGA development kit
Altera DE2-115 development and education board

Hello Wang,

Thank you for response! I hope it is okay if I ask you another question.

Are there any development boards that I can use that will program two different FPGAs that MATLAB supports for the HDL Coder and Verifier? Or is that simply not so? I am working on a project testing portability.

Thank you, Natalie

Sorry and one more question.

Would the development board below be compatible with the HDL Coder and Verifier?

Thanks again!
