Please, post the code you're trying to port in MATLAB and you're attempt at doing so.

CALIC appears to stand for Context-Based, Adaptive, Lossless Image Coder

Is there a particular reason to rewrite it in MATLAB rather than just call the existing C++ code from inside MATLAB ?
